Unvented Hot Water training and certification is a requirement for anybody who wants to work on unvented hot water systems. It is illegal to work on unvented hot water systems with capacities of over 15l unless you hold the unvented hot water systems qualification.

Part G3 of the building regulations define unvented hot water systems as a ‘controlled service’ making it a legal requirement to notify the local building control department of any installations. By undertaking training in Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems, you no longer need to contact your local Building Control Officer to approve your work. You will be recognised as being competent to design, install, service and maintain Unvented Systems and can therefore self-certify your work.
